Legal terms and standards for “safety belts” have been changed.It has become a rule to use the full harness type, and the implementation of special education has been prescribed.

• After the enforcement date, the term “safety belt” was changed to “fall arrest equipment” in laws and regulations, and the scope and standards for the applicable equipment were also changed.
• As a general rule, the full harness type should be used as fall arrest equipment
• The following workers must now receive “special education on occupational safety and health”
• “Safety Belt Standards” were revised, and equipment based on the old standards and not meeting the conditions of the new standards (“Fall Arrest Equipment Standards”) will be deemed unusable starting from January 2, 2022.
