1. Confirmation of structural standards and instruction manuals
1, Structural standards (“Safety Helmet Standards”)
Article 4
A safety helmet for preventing danger due to flying or falling objects shall have a helmet body, suspension, and chin strap, and conform to the following items:
(i) The headband of the suspension shall be adjustable to fit the head of the wearer.
(ii) The ring cord of the suspension shall not allow adjustment of ring size.
Article 5
A safety helmet to prevent dangers due to falling shall have a helmet body, a shock absorbing liner, and a chin strap, and no rivets or other protrusions shall protrude 6 mm or more from the outer surface of the helmet body.
Article 9
The following information shall be indicated at a readily visible location on a safety helmet:
(i) Manufacturer name
(ii) Date of manufacture
(iii) Whether the object is designed to prevent danger due to flying or falling objects, or to prevent danger due to falling
2. How to use and inspect a helmet
Adjust the headband to snugly fit the size of your head.
Wear the safety helmet straight, with your head inserted all the way. Do not wear the helmet tilted back.
Perform chin strap fastening and other adjustment properly according to the instruction manual.
In terms of service life it is recommended that safety helmets made of thermoplastic resin be replaced within 3 years, and safety helmets made of thermosetting resin such as FRP within 5 years, even if there are no problems. It is recommended to replace the suspension within 1 year.
