[Chapter 3] Section 7
1. Decide on the response beforehand
To prevent panic when an accident occurs, decide in advance on the necessary response to an accident (e.g., rescue methods).
Also, plan regular training in basic life support and first-aid treatment for fractures and bleeding, etc.If you are using fall arrest equipment, prepare the necessary equipment for rescuing dangling accident victims, etc.

2. Points to keep in mind when an accident occurs
If you can’t get out of a situation by yourself, immediately call for help and take off tools/accessories, etc. to make yourself a little lighter.
Since a considerable number of people are needed to hoist or lower an accident victim, immediately contact the fire department (before making a rescue attempt) and request rescue if the ability to respond is uncertain.
To prolong life and prevent loss of consciousness, it is effective to have the victim support his/her body by straining with his/her feet against a rope etc. (tiger rope (yellow and black rope), a sling, or the main rope).
Conduct a drill of rescue by crane beforehand assuming an accident scenario.
[Example of using an auxiliary sling]
Remove the left and right auxiliary slings (worn beforehand), adjust the length so the slings can be stepped on, and fasten with fasteners.
(Point of view of a person who has experienced this situation: It was a great relief because the tightness in my crotch was considerably reduced and my body was supported by my feet. However, you should gain experience beforehand regarding things like how to adjust the length and use the fasteners to suit you.)
Prolonged dangling may cause impaired blood flow in the lower extremities, resulting in cardiac problems and other life-threatening conditions. The accident victim must be rescued as quickly as possible.
